This is a twenty-three-inch square, punch-rug textile made by hand using a variety of textured yarn in different shades of yellow, ranging from bright neon hues to deeper golden shades. The highly textured work is interwoven with white and gold buttons as well as handmade, square ceramic charms that are carved with designs, such as little suns or the phrase “I love Tierra del Sol.” It is mounted on stretcher bars and hung on the wall.
